trying to be productive...
Any way we can communicate the results of our "tests" to the relevant
UN Officials so that they can perhaps try to fix it ASAP.
If they can not, then i would suggest that we start the process of
formulating a formal press release to inform the world about the lack
of standards..

Dear All
It has been established beyond all doubt that a number of UN agencies have
struck deals with M$ that would not exactly earn them any awards for
transparency and public debate. It now transpires that the UN document
system also favours those using M$ platforms.

Yes, I do think we as CS should do something about this, to answer Martin
Olivera's question. As for Robert's question about it being too late, let's
see what the legal experts come up with.

SUGGESTION: For the time being, we could consider gathering all the evidence
in a separate location (off this list) so we all get a good picture of what
M$ is up to. The irony is that quite a few of these deals were explored/
negotiated/ finalised at WSIS forums!! Angola did at PrepCom III in
September: http://fr.allafrica.com/stories/200309260534.html
Best regards
Rui
