[WSIS CS-Plenary] Invitation for comments and new proposals on the text of the Group of Friends of the Chair (GFC)

The Group of Friends of the President (GFC) has issued two documents to be
submitted to PrepCom-2 as a possible basis for negotiations. These
documents, prepared in response to a request by Prepcom-1 of the Tunis phase
of the Summit, represent the outcome of meetings and consultations held
since October 2004. Working on the assumption that the outcome of the Tunis
phase would be one document in two parts, the GFC produced a Political
Chapeau and an Operational Part. The document is available on the documents
page of PrepCom-2 at

The Executive Secretariat invites written contributions from all
stakeholders to the latest versions of the Political Chapeau and Operational
Part. We would also like to invite for new proposals, which could be
incorporated into the text during PrepCom-2. All contributions will be
published on the WSIS website and will therefore be available to all
participants at PrepCom-2. Contributions should be sent by email to:
wsis-contributions at itu.int.

Le Groupe d’Amis du Président (GAP) a publié deux documents qui devront être
soumis au PrepCom-2 comme une base possible de négociations. Ces documents,
préparés en réponse à une demande du PreCom-1 de la phase de Tunis du
Sommet, constitue le résultat des réunions et des consultations tenues
depuis octobre 2004. En travaillant sur la probabilité que le résultat
obtenu lors de la phase de Tunis soit un document en deux parties, le GAP a
élaboré un Chapeau Politique et une partie opérationnelle. Le document est

Le Secrétariat Exécutif invite toutes les parties prenantes à apporter des
contributions écrites aux dernières versions du Chapeau Politique et de la
version opérationnelle. Nous voudrions également vous inviter à apporter de
nouvelles propositions qui pourraient être incorporées dans le texte au
cours du PrepCom-2. Toutes les contributions seront publiées sur le site du
SMSI et seront ainsi disponibles à l’ensemble des participants au PrepCom-2.
