dear all - part 2,
this message is actually titled 'draft' - so there may have been some
modifications before being finalised and sent to plenary..
i can't recall how the 'adhoc' selection committee was formed - but i think
it had reps from regional caucuses (not thematic, but i might be wrong) and
reps from the Content and themes group.. maybe someone else can recall
in the next message, a summary of the criteria that was developed by the CT
group, or the adhoc committee - i can't recall which

All,
The Content and Themes group will use the following process to nominate
speakers for the Summit.
** Your adherence to the following procedures is critical if we are to
accomplish this on time. In particular, please
follow the e-mail instructions closely.

0. An ad hoc committee will be formed to make the recommendations based on
nominations.
See below.
-- This committee will first propose and make known criteria in addition
to those already established by the Secretariat (see
http://mboom.draper.albany.edu/~mciver/WSIS/Summit/Speakers/ ).
** We invite a representative from each caucus and regional group to be on
this committee.
1. Caucuses and individual members of the plenary are invited to submit
nominations.
-- Due date: Saturday, November 7th, 2003.

-- Use the subject line: SPEAKER NOMINATION
-- Use text e-mail only!
-- Please copy the following into the body of your message and supply the
requested information:

of the criteria, and come up with a balanced speakers list. The decisions
