Meeting with WSIS ES, 9 November 2005

Access to the Kram Centre

There will be a flag rising ceremony at 11.00 on Sunday 13th November. At
this time, the gates to the Kram Centre will officially open.

Mr. Geiger expects that it will be possible to enter the Kram Centre from 8
a.m to 8 p.m and that it will be possible to leave through Gate 4 until
after midnight.

Shuttle buses will go to the Kram Centre from Sunday 13 November (maybe
already Saturday).

Fellowships

Charles Geiger underlined that it is not within the procedures of the ITU to
make public the names of the people who have received fellowships, due to
the privacy of the people who have received the fellowships.

Parallel events

As it was decided not to make a printed programme of site events, the WSIS
ES has instead established a Parallel Events Website with links and
programme documents (www.itu.int/wsis/tunis/events/links.html). Events can
be posted here by sending an e-mail to parallel-events at itu.int.

Documents that are only meant to be distributed in the parallel event room
do not need to be approved by the Documents Service
(www.itu.int/wsis/docs2/tunis/adm/4.doc).

Filming is officially only allowed by people with a media badge, but it will
be on the chair's discretion to decide if filming is allowed or not in each
parallel event.

Speakers

A list of speakers at the Summit will probably be uploaded on the WSIS
website on Sunday.

Citizen Summit & Host Country Agreement

The CSB Secretariat wanted to clarify the situation about immunities of
participants in the Citizen Summit: The WSIS ES had their legal expert look
at it and it now announced on their website that the privileges and immunity
of the Summit will not apply to participants in the Citizen Summit (cf.
http://www.itu.int/wsis/docs2/tunis/info-participants/faqs-immunities.pdf).

However the CSB Secretariat noted that this question is related to
provisions of the Host Country Agreement, which had not been made public.
Contrary to what previously announced, the WSIS ES confirmed that it has
finally not been possible to release on-line the six first paragraphs of the
Host Country Agreement on Privileges and Immunities.
