Subject Heading for email: URGENT ACTION REQUIRED SUMMIT PASSES

In considering the allocation of passes for the Tunis Summit the CSB has taken
into account:
• Active caucus’s, families and working groups, measured by reports from Phase
1;
• Active caucus’s, families and working groups that have emerged in Phase 2;
• The numbers of participants in the various groupings.

Please refer to the list of civil society groupings (families, caucuses or
working groups) at the end of this document.

Passes will be distributed at the Tunis Summit by the Civil Society Bureau
Secretariat (CSBS), since the self-selective process within civil society was
decided by the WSIS Executive Secretariat.

The following process will be co-ordinated at the CSBS (based at CONGO in
Geneva).

Passes for High Level Panel
So far the WSIS ES made available 35 passes for civil society representatives
and there are 36 active groupings in civil society (families, caucuses or
working groups). These are listed below.

The CSB will request a minimum of 36 passes and another two (making 38) for the
High Level Panel to be held at the Tunis Summit.

Each grouping below will be able to request one pass which will be allocated on
the basis of registering a request.

If the additional passes are supplied, or if any remain after the selection
process, they will be reserved for past active caucus’s that may re-emerge and
emergent caucus’s. Any remaining after this will be returned to the Executive
Secretariat for allocation to other stakeholder groupings.

Action required:
Please register your interest in being allocated a High Level Panel pass on the
following email, before 12 noon Geneva time on Friday 30th September, 2005.
Please do not forget to mention to which civil society grouping you belong and
refer in this notification.
