[WSIS CS-Plenary] 1000 expected in Greece?

Sylvia:

1000 ....actually more. At the Vancouver ICANN meeting the Greek  
diplomat mentioned a number of 3000!


Let's make a quick calculation:

1.  Member States of the UN -  191 <http://www.un.org/Overview/ 
unmember.html>

let's say each country sends, on average, 2 officials  - total : 382

2. International organizations & bodies

Let's say 20 organizations show up, and again, 2 officials from each  
- total: 40

3. Business Sector

Let's say 20 companies and/or business lobby representatives  show  
up, and again, 2 officials from each - total: 40


4. NGOS

Let's say 40 people show up - total 40


Just this quick calculation yields  - 500.

Add greek & EU officials and easily the number scales to 1000

So i'd say 1000 is perhaps too conservative a number. Number will  
likely be min 1000, perhaps even upto 2000.

Doesn't make it easy to discuss things with so many people around...  
that's for sure.
