Therefore, hosting the second WSIS in Tunisia, according to industry
analysts, may face some hiccups, as most media professionals slated to
participate at the global summit are already having rethink concerning
their freedom to practice and move freely during the summit without being
gagged, even on the Internet, especially if the tide of stories for
publication do not favour the hosting nation; it may result to complete
blockage of the service provider to the convention center.

For Africa and Tunisia, particularly, the fight against the media may spell
doom for the continent as the inability to host the summit as slated would
further set back the clock of development in the continent, just as Tunisia
would lose handsomely through decline in tourism and other economic
activities during the summit.
