Democracy doesn't work like this.

I assume with this message that Olinca is leaving her role as focal
point for lac and will go on working in "alternative" and closed spaces.
this message is a violation of every consensus reached within the WSIS,
while our most important consensus is transparency, openess to everybody
who wants to be involved.

all the other people that worked within lac will go on doing so, in a
transparent way, as we made for a long time. 

this alternative places that olinca mentions are closed and someone who
wants to participate there must be "invited". this is not the kind of
work I dreamed for civil society. 

so, I, as a citicen from latin america, will go on working within
lac at wsis-cs.org  the only open, transparent and public mailing list of
our caucus. 

If this group want to have their own private place to work, they could,
it's their right, but they have no right to speak on behalf of latin
american caucus.

La democracia no funciona así. Asumo por el mensaje de olinca que
renuncia a su rol como punto focal del caucus latinoamericano y que
seguirá trabajando en otros espacios alternativos y cerrados. 

Su mensaje es una violación a todos los consensos logrados en el marco
de la CMSI, siendo nuestro más importante consenso la "transparencia" y
apertura a todos aquellos que quisieran participar.

Toda la otra gente que ha trabajado en LAC lo seguirá haciendo así, en
una forma transparente como hemos hecho durante largo tiempo.
Estos lugares alternativos que Olinca menciona son cerrados y alquien
que desee participar allí debe ser invitado. Este no es el tipo de
trabajo que soñamos para la sociedad civil.

Así que , como ciudadana de america latina, voy a seguir trabajando en
el espacio lac at wsis-cs.org,  la única lista abierta, transparente y
publica de nuestro caucus. 

Si estas personas desean armar sus grupos privados de trabajo, pueden
hacerlo, están en su derecho. Pero no tienen ningún derecho a hablar en
nombre del caucus de america latina.
