Dear All --

Why oh why will people not sign their full names to their messages, so that
we can know who is doing the speaking ?

I just have no idea who "MJR" is, and I suspect that most others on the
list don't either.

He or she is hardly the only one to indulge in the quaint notion that
everyone knows everybody else's initials, first name or nickname.
