a note of support for APC..

APC does a great deal of work on information society issues - both in
the "north" and in "south" . Their involvement in the WSIS process
has been and continues to be one of inclusion, participation and
leadership.

Their values are consist with the civil society statements and
declarations made at the geneva phase. The same, can not be said
about others who have been nominated and appear on the list
submitted. I won't say more, as i've already posted an earlier
message about this.

In summary - Suffice it to say, I entirely support the names from APC
that have been put forward . They are well deserving of the nomination.

On another point, as I mentioned to Rick in an earlier email - i do
not see anyone from Europe and/or North america listed on the High
Level panels. I had suggested several names of the panellists be - at
least - listed there as well. I hope there is still a chance..

As well, the ITU already seems to have a "speakers list" available
on the Summit section of the WSIS/ITU site. http://www.itu.int/wsis/
tunis/index.html The url is password protected, but it should be
taken that there's a list already. Which means, if we don't finalize
our list soon and transmit it - we will have our list selected for
us...AGAIN..

regards,

Robert
