Dear all,

A short up-date on the CS Nom Com process for the Global Alliance Strategy
Council:

Volunteers to serve in the Nom Com: We've now reached 26 volunteers, which
is just up to the minimal number we had established at the initial stage of
the process. Therefore we need you to continue to volunteer to make sure
this list, and therefore the Nom Com, is as representative as possible. In
addition, I want to underline that there are some constituencies which are
barely represented in this list, in particular civil society from GRULAC.

We have a bit more than 24 hours to finalize the list of volunteers for the
Nom Com (this list will be closed tomorrow at 24:00 Geneva Time).

The list of volunteers is available on line: click HERE
<http://www.ngocongo.org/index.php?what=pag&id=10221> .

Nominees to the Strategy Council: we are about 48 hours before the deadline
for submission of nominations to the CS Nom Com, but we so far received
quite few nominations (both self nominations and nomination supported by a
CS WG or caucus). We need much more nominations to make the recommendation
process relevant. In particular, CS groupings (WG and caucus) are fully
encouraged to present their nominations at this stage.

For your information, the list of received nominations will be made public
on the CONGO website once the list of volunteers to the Nom Com is closed.
The answers to the basic questionnaire will be posted on line.

Many groupings are not yet represented at all in the current list of
nominees.

Random selection process: as announced this morning, the process for the
random selection of the CS Nom Com members is now detailed on line
<http://www.ngocongo.org/index.php?what=pag&id=10232> .

the Global Alliance, visit the website of the UN ICT Task Force

All the best,
